It's not the macros
Macro counting is a tool. And a method of measuring intake. The vast majority of the time, it’s not the numbers that are dictating success, it’s the awareness.
Physiologically we have a pretty good idea of what works. There may be a wide caloric range due to inter individuality in non-exercise activity thermogenesis, but we can pretty well estimate what the bottom of the energy availability scale might be. Burying calories isn’t the answer.
We’ve been conditioned to believe that the cure is less. Less food, less calories, less time by spending it all on a treadmill. So we think that the solution is in the numbers. But more often than not people get stuck in their fat loss journey not because of some prescribed number but because they are just not doing the things to get them there.
If you feel stuck in any of your endeavors, be it nutrition or fitness or business, check yourself. Are you really doing the things you think you are? Or are you suffering through the mental struggles without applying the actions that will see you through? At the end of the day all that matters is your actions. Make sure they align with your desires.
