Find freedom from food obsession.
There’s a better way, built on a better life, to lose weight and keep it off. Start focusing on what really matters.
“Eat less, move more”
Has this advice actually worked for anyone? The truth is that losing weight and keeping it off isn’t that simple. It’s the intersection of a thousand different influences from your genetics to your environment to your emotional regulation. Yet every diet seeks to solve your struggles with slashing calories and endless cardio or worse, with one weird trick. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
But you CAN take charge of your destiny by learning to use the tools you have at your disposal. Improving your health can be as simple as learning to use skills that break the cycle of dieting forever. Stop following a set of rules that tells you what you can and cannot eat or turns food into numbers. All this does is set you up for failure.
Instead start building the habits that will last a lifetime.
Look, the research is pretty clear that DIETS DON’T WORK LONG TERM. And the diet industry is failing you. That is because most diets create a feeling of restriction that leads to overeating therefore making it impossible to lose weight and keep it off. We are forever attacking the symptoms (weight) without ever addressing the root causes (emotions, behaviors, and actions). And that comes at a huge cost.

What you can expect when working with me
-
Gain confidence
By creating small goals and building better habits, you create competence around your food. This boosts your confidence and leads to further success. You’ll build the foundation that’s missing from other diets so you’re empowered rather than overwhelmed or intimidated by the tasks at hand.
-
Lose the shame
So many of us have built up shame around food and food choices. This only plays into the cycles of restriction and overeating which then leads to more shame. It’s a vicious cycle. And one that you deserve to be rid of forever. There is no place for shame in our practice and time together. You’ll improve with yourself and finally rid yourself of that shame once and for all.

Create a lifetime of change
I don’t care what you do today or next month or even in the next year. My framework gives you better habits and freedom around food. You’ll finally end the cycle of restriction and shame and move into a new life. That can only happen with true behavior change starting from inside.
Here is how others have benefitted
Hi, my name is Jeb Stuart Johnston!
I created Food on the Mind because, while I was able to help countless people realize massive changes in the scale and body composition, I also saw huge gaps with traditional nutrition coaching and began to see the potential long term hazards.
I have seen the wreckage that months and years of continuous dieting does to your mindset and the psychological impacts entailed. So I found a better way, one that treated the symptoms of weight gain so you can make true, lasting change. After thousands of hours of researching behavior and psychology and physiology, and endless discussions with mentors in the fields of behavior, nutrition, mindfulness, medicine and neuroscience I created this skills based program that helps you manage your emotions, your relationship with food, your body image and your environment that’s just waiting to trip you up.
In 2022 I became a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach in order to create a more holistic approach to my practice, focusing on all aspects of health.
