Could the mystery of weight loss reside in our bones?

This week we released a new episode of our YouTube show/podcast with our good friend James Krieger. James and (IFBB Pro) Eric Lee Salazar caused a lot of chatter last year in our little circle of fitness when they talked of a “weight vest experiment”. Basically, they progressively added weight to an external load as Eric got deeper into prep, effectively adding back the weight he was losing. The theory was that the added weight might somehow mitigate the metabolic adaptations that are so present in bodybuilding prep.

As James dug deeper he found that there was actually some precedent for this in the form of rodent research and theory of a gravitostat that can regulate our body’s mechanisms towards weight regulation. The potential for this is pretty mind blowing.

We dig deep with both the mechanistic data and make logical jumps towards how we might be able to apply this data towards real life scenarios.

I find this topic fascinating and think you might as well. Give it a look see and let me know what you think!
