Metrilife on Barbell Mesearch

Here’s another episode of Barbell Mesearch! This week we had on some guests that have developed a really cool app to track aspects of both physical and mental health. It was really cool to talk with two powerlifter about the importance of mental health not just in daily life but in athletic performance as well. The app is called Metrilife and I have been using it for the last few weeks. There is a free version available so check it out on the App Store!

The Fitbros are joined by Paul Oneid and Jay Nera to discuss lifestyle factors and lifting. Both Paul and Jay are Elite Total Powerlifters who found that the biggest deficits in their clients lives had nothing to do with programming or exercise selection but rather it was all the stuff they were (and weren't) doing outside the gym. They developed the Metrilife App in order to help athletes increase performance through tracking "intangibles". Things like sleep, stress, dietary quality and mental health create data sets that will improve all facets of life.
